Buhari Confirms Air Force Mistakenly Bombed an IDP Camp in Borno, Many Feared Dead

Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed Air Force mistakenly bombed an IDP inBorno. Hundreds of persons are said to be injured with at least 50 people confirmed dead. 6 Red Cross workers are part of the victims

The IDP Camp in Kala-balge Local Government Area caters for thousands of persons displaced by Boko Haram.

The president wrote in series of tweets on Tuesday, “I received with regret news that the Air Force,working to mop up BH insurgents, accidentally bombed a civilian community in Rann,Borno State.

I sympathize with the families of the dead, and with the injured, and the Government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will fully support the Borno State Government in dealing with the situation and attending to the victims.”
