Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, but many Americans are not happy about that outcome.
Thousands of citizens took to the streets in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, Oakland, and other cities across the country to protest against the Republican candidate winning the White House.
Much of the anger stemmed from the fact Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won more votes than Trump but came out short in the Electoral College count.
Protestors also took issue with Trump’s rhetoric throughout the campaign that was viewed by many as racist, misogynistic, and Islamophobic.
Atlanta rapper T.I. joined one of the protests. He filmed the scene and posted videos on his Instagram page.
Protestors chanted “not my president,” “she got more votes,” and “the whole world hates you.”
#TrumpProtest has been trending on Twitter for hours. Yesterday also saw #NotMyPresident and #ImStillWithHer as top trends on the social media platform as well.
