This baby is barely 24hrs old. Her mum gave birth to her yesterday evening and tried to kill the baby by forcing rags down her throat to suffocate her before she was apprehended by neighbours. The baby was brought to the church next to my house alongside the mum for counseling as relatives pleaded to handle the matter internally without involving the police or social welfare because when the mother of the baby took in she concealed the matter from everyone including the supposed FATHER of the child..
As I look into her eyes this morning I ask myself…
What has this innocent baby done to deserve this kind of treatment from
