Benue State University, Makurdi held its 16th and 17th Combined Convocation today where doctorate degrees, master’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees and postgraduate diplomas were awarded to graduands.
It was the first convocation of the University since its current Visitor, Governor Samuel Ortom assumed office. It was also the first convocation in the tenure of the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Msugh Moses Kembe.
A star feature of the ceremony was the graduation of wife of the Governor, Eunice Ortom with a PhD in Political Science.
The event attracted prominent persons including the Deputy Governor of the state, Engineer Benson Abounu and his wife, Justice Mary Abounu as well as Tor Tiv the 5th, His Royal Majesty, Professor James Ortese Ayatse whose wife Felicia also bagged a PhD degree.
